Terms of service

TallyCheck is double-entry accounting software with invoicing, bills, banking, reports, sales tax and, on Web plans, US payroll. We may improve and change features over time; we will tell customers about changes that take something important away.

Keep your sign-in details safe and give access only to people you trust. You are responsible for what is done under your account and for the roles and permissions you give your team.

The trial lasts 14 days. After that, a paid plan is needed to keep using TallyCheck. Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars, before any sales tax.

Plans renew each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.

Your books belong to you. You can export them at any time. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of Desktop data and for the accuracy of what you enter.

TallyCheck works out figures such as sales tax, payroll withholding and the amounts for Forms 941, 940 and W-2 from the information and rates in your books. It does not file returns or pay taxes for you.

You remain responsible for your tax filings and payments, for the state rates and rules you enter, and for checking the figures before you file. TallyCheck is not tax, legal or accounting advice; talk to a qualified professional when in doubt.

• Do not use TallyCheck for anything unlawful or fraudulent.
• Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the software or this website.
• Do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the software except where the law allows it.

We work to keep TallyCheck Web available and to fix problems quickly, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Support is by email at hello@tallycheck.io.

TallyCheck is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You can stop using TallyCheck at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after giving notice where we reasonably can. Either way you can export your books.

We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be emailed to customers in advance.
